A modpack with technology, magic, mystery, and tougher crafting.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 197 graded mods, 69 are graded A or B, 35 C and 93 D to F. Its last update came out 6.3 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
SLCP4 is a large technology-focused Minecraft modpack that combines industrial automation and engineering with magic and exploration, aiming to offer a more involved alternative to a standard modded playthrough. Its technology selection includes IC2 Classic and GregTech Classic, BuildCraft with Logistics Pipes and QuarryPlus, and power-focused mods such as Thermal Expansion, Ender IO, and Mekanism, alongside Applied Energistics 2, Immersive Engineering, and OpenComputers. Magic systems include Thaumcraft, Botania, and Blood Magic, with related additions such as Extra Botany, Thaumic Tinkerer, and Blood Arsenal. The pack also expands the world and its activities with Biomes O’ Plenty, Natura, Mystcraft, Pam’s HarvestCraft, and exploration features such as rare Ender Comets and Gravity Anomalies in the End and Nether. Recipes and systems are adjusted to balance the different technology mods and make progression more challenging, including changes to Mekanism circuits and compressed plates, Applied Energistics 2 power use, and some IC2-related crafting.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 2 Jul 2020). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 13 Apr 2020 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 206 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of 204 of its 205 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 7 of the 101 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
104 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
