Wither’s Wrath is a survival and adventure modpack built around a dangerous journey to defeat the Wither Storm and save the Overworld. The Storm hunts the player across the Overworld, growing more dangerous as it evolves, so survival means scavenging above ground for food, villagers, and rare resources before retreating to build a bunker and prepare for the next encounter. The opening uses a tougher, hands-on progression: gather rocks and twigs to make flint, craft a hatchet to fell and strip trees, and make stone tools instead of relying on wooden ones. A custom guidebook unlocks chapters through advancements and guides the main quest, while the world offers dozens of dungeons and structures with hidden treasure, plus three new bosses and revamped vanilla bosses. Combat is extensively reworked with new weapons, custom attacks, animations, special abilities, armor sets, and bows and arrows with effects such as lightning and explosions. Exploration and travel are supported by backpacks, toolbelts, sleeping bags, hammocks, 3×3 hammers, jetpacks, and elytras with flapping and flaring mechanics. The pack also adds a revamped enchanting system with dozens of enchantments, artifacts that grant abilities, and progression that makes the game harder as players complete tasks. Its Nether and End feature expanded, custom biomes, including 3D Nether biomes, while a custom minimap changes as players explore. Custom menus, HUD and GUI elements, improved third-person camera movement, and directional audio round out the pack’s presentation.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.18.2 · Forge, 12 Sep 2022). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 6 Aug 2022 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 103 of its 105 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
2 mods send something about you
We read the code of 102 of its 104 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 9 of the 92 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
12 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
