Animus is a Blood Magic addon that expands its blood-magic systems with new sigils, rituals, weapons, altar progression, and integrations with other magic mods. Its portable sigils cover utility, combat, and exploration: the Sigil of Transposition stores and places blocks or teleports entities through a Teleposer, the Sigil of the Storm calls lightning, the Sigil of Temporal Dominance speeds block entities by up to 32 times, and the Sigil of the Phantom Chain captures entities for later release. Other sigils can replace blocks across a configurable area, let players scout in ghost form and act as a Totem of Undying, cleanse harmful effects, repair carried items, restore hunger from nearby plants, or accelerate building. Rituals add automation and world control, including large-area placement or removal of lights, chunk loading, automated mob killing that generates Life Essence, disenchanting items onto books, spawning passive animals, repairing items, and protecting an area from hostile spawns. Imperfect Rituals offer quick block-triggered effects such as removing repair costs, raising enchantment levels, granting temporary creative flight, and clearing storms. Weapons and tools include retrievable iron and diamond spears, a returning bound spear, demon-will-powered sentient weapons and shield, and the Sanguine Diviner, which diagnoses altar issues, displays ritual information, and places upgrades automatically. For advanced altar progression, Animus adds a Tier 6 altar component, owner-protected Willful Stone in 16 colors, and a high-capacity Transcendent Blood Orb; it also introduces spreading AntiLife corruption and blood-grown trees whose apples restore hunger and Life Essence. With Iron's Spellbooks, players can cast spells using Life Essence, use an LP-regenerating blood-infused spellbook and reusable sanguine scrolls, and gain spell-related Living Armor progression; Botania, Ars Nouveau, and Malum integrations add exchanges between Life Essence and mana or Source, spell upgrades, and soul-harvesting scythes. The Codex Animus is an in-game guide to the addon’s features, recipes, and mechanics. In multiplayer, a Key of Binding lets a player share their Soul Network’s Life Essence so a teammate’s sigils and bound items can draw from it.
Written from Modrinth and the GitHub README . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 2 areas: PlayerChanges 2 game code files in this area: your character: movement, abilities, hunger and controls. and Inventory and itemsChanges 1 game code file in this area: items, chests and other containers, crafting and enchanting..
Adds 38 blocks, 55 items, 1 projectile, 90 recipes, 14 advancements, 4 loot tables and 7 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
An AI tool may have been used
Claude Code is named in the ignore list of its repository.
This does not show that it was used to make the files you download.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

In the last 2 years, 24 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This lowers the grade by 7 points.
