BTH - Beyond The Horizon

Beyond The Horizon is a sandbox modpack built around long-distance exploration, blending technology, magic, travel, combat, cooking and building without imposing a single end goal; an in-game Quest Book offers guidance when you want it. Distant Horizons lets you scout terrain and points of interest from far away, while structures and villages are spaced farther apart to make journeys by mount or vehicle a central part of play. Tectonic and Terralith shape a landscape of vast mountain ranges, deep oceans and varied biomes, while the Overworld, Nether and End are joined by Ratlantis and the Aether as additional dimensions. Across these worlds, players can discover custom-built structures, dungeons and villages, including ancient organic towers, abandoned fortresses and battle-scarred sites that hold lore, secrets and loot. Travel options range from upgraded horses and small ships to aircraft and dragon mounts, and Nomadic Tents let you carry a portable base with farms, storage, machines and pets on the road. Exploration feeds a travel, looting and upgrading loop: maps to biomes and treasure turn up in structures or while fishing, End Remastered eyes are scattered across biomes, and some powerful items have exploration-focused recipes. Technology paths include Immersive Engineering, EnderIO, PneumaticCraft and Create, with automation for valuable resources and powerful equipment; magic from Botania, Ars Nouveau, Iron's Spells and Spellbooks, and other systems can support combat, healing, travel and automation. Combat includes weapons and armor from Simply Swords and Immersive Armors, customizable gear through Tetra, and boss encounters featuring Aquamirae, the Aether, Incendium, Mutant Monsters and Alex’s Caves. Cooking and farming are meaningful progression systems: meals grant health and speed buffs, Farmer’s Delight adds ingredients and recipes, Create: Slice and Dice helps automate cooking, and advancements can permanently increase base hearts. Designed with multiplayer in mind, the pack includes photography, painting, music-making and mail features, plus a player economy where exploration yields coins for trading and can help unlock access to Ratlantis.
