DangerousWorld is a challenging survival adventure modpack built around making survival more demanding while adding a longer progression through equipment, crafting, and exploration. Players begin with only three hearts of hunger and cannot punch trees; they gather flint from gravel, make flint tools to mine stone, and work up through copper and higher-tier workbenches and furnaces, with crafting taking time and faster stations improving the pace. Survival is further shaped by slow block mining, limited sleeping hours, health recovery accelerated by resting in bed, and experience levels that improve hunger, crafting speed, and mining speed. Enemies grow stronger over time, and hostile piglins can pick up dropped items and wear player equipment, while some zombies and skeletons can also appear equipped. Weapons and armor can have combat effects such as stunning, withering, critical strikes, lifesteal, damage reduction, and a chance to resist damage when health is low. Instead of ordinary Nether portals, players use amethyst portals to reach the Underground World, then build portals there to enter the Nether; other portal frames can return players to a dimension’s spawn or randomly teleport them within it. The equipment path progresses from flint, copper, and iron through tungsten, mithril, adamantium, and quantum gear, with Argent Energy found only in the Underground World or Nether. Reaching the End portal requires defeating a roster of bosses that includes the Wither, Warden, Stone Golem, Void Blossom, Lich, and Gaia Guardian in hard mode, as well as bosses from Doom, Minecells, and Soulsweapons.
Written from Modrinth and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.19.2 · Fabric, 7 Jul 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 138 of its 139 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of 138 of its 139 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 7 of the 138 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
1 mod is not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its description and found none.
We have not read its changelogs, files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
