Fungal Outbreak ForgeLabs is a fan-made modpack inspired by a ForgeLabs video, built around surviving a deadly fungus that begins as a small mushroom and can spread to infect the world's creatures. The pack adds spore-related structures and mobs, new ship types, and new life in the seas, while hordes arrive every fifth day and spore mobs can appear in daylight as well as at night. Survival and exploration are shaped by new weapons and healing options, drills and submarines, farmable plants, seasonal changes, cooking, and food spoilage; rotten flesh also has additional uses. The world includes dungeons and ruined Nether portals, and features more vivid nature, weather sounds, and added music, along with 3D ladders, rails, and doors. Fire spreads more dangerously, making care with flint and steel important, and the pack includes fire extinguishers.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 15 Mar 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 15 May 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 128 of its 129 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of 117 of its 120 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 6 of the 106 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
14 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
