Island Adventure is a survival modpack set across floating islands above an endless ocean, where players explore suspended structures, adapt to challenging environments, and encounter new enemies and wildlife. Its skybound world includes Ember’s Floating Islands, Sky Villages, Sky Structures, and Castle in the Sky, alongside Biomes O’ Plenty biomes and dungeons such as YUNG’s Better Dungeons, Dungeon Crawl, and Awesome Dungeon. Mowzie’s Mobs, Mutant Monsters, Alex’s Mobs, and Exotic Birds add hostile creatures and wildlife, while Farmer’s Delight, Mystical Agriculture, Better Archeology, and Aquaculture 2 broaden survival and resource-gathering activities. A quest system guides players through major mods including Ad Astra and The Aether, with further exploration available in Deep Aether and Aether Redux. Technology and vehicles let players travel beyond the islands, from aircraft and jetpacks to journeys toward distant planets, while Applied Energistics 2, Powah!, and Valkyrien Skies add technological building options. AmbientSounds, Sound Physics Remastered, Serene Seasons, and Better Animations Collection contribute to the atmosphere, and the pack supports multiplayer with Embeddium, Oculus, and Complementary Shaders - Unbound.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 18 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 7 Oct 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 348 of its 349 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
1 mod file is inside the pack file itself: it matches a known file (
Skylands over the Sea).
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 336 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 26 of the 290 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
1 other mod shows AI use only from after this release (18 Oct 2026), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
46 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
