A tech modpack where each new stage depends on the last.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 277 graded mods, 214 are graded A or B, 49 C and 14 D to F. Its last update came out 21 months ago, for Minecraft 1.19.2. See the mods
M-Tech is a deliberately curated technical modpack that connects its machinery and progression systems while retaining Minecraft’s player-shaped, survival-focused feel. Its three gated phases move from Vanilla and Create’s mechanical production to Immersive Engineering’s heavy electrical machines, then to Mekanism and Applied Energistics 2 for advanced industry, energy systems, and automated item and fluid storage and crafting. Advancing requires substantial work in the current phase: for example, the first phase asks players to build Create mechanisms and conveyor lines, automate netherite gathering, and craft an Alternator that converts Create’s mechanical energy into electricity. Later phases build on that work, with Immersive Engineering’s Arc Furnace and diesel generator required for processors used by Mekanism and Applied Energistics 2. The modpack extends those core systems with Create add-ons for railways, decoration, and food-processing compatibility, plus Mekanism generators and tools, Applied Mekanistics, and programmable CC: Tweaked computers and turtles. World exploration is part of the experience: carefully configured biome and structure generation accompanies End Remastered’s 15 hidden Ender Eyes, of which any 12 are needed to open the End portal. Practical travel and building tools include grappling hooks for caves and mountains, planes, construction wands, structure and biome compasses, and schematics for complex Create contraptions.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.19.2 · Forge, 9 Jan 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 21 Nov 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 280 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
10 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 277 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 24 of the 236 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
41 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
