A Terraria-inspired adventure pack filled with bosses, gear, and exploration.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 213 graded mods, 174 are graded A or B, 36 C and 3 D to F. Its last update came out 9 months ago, for Minecraft 1.21.1. See the mods
Shivrs' Ascendency is a Terraria-inspired adventure modpack built around exploration, combat, and player-chosen ways to progress, without locking content behind a required linear route. Its custom, hand-drawn boss log provides illustrated progression pages, boss guidance, and gear recommendations, while an in-game booklet explains features such as Twilight Forest and Aether progression, travel, weapons, and companions. The pack adds hundreds of progression-balanced weapons and accessories, skill upgrades for activities including combat and mining, and mechanics such as dodge-rolling and backpacks. Exploration is central to getting stronger, with expansive terrain to traverse by boat, ship, or biplane and discoveries that contribute to character progression. Create integration lets players build machines to support their adventures, with Sophisticated Storage and its Create compatibility also included. The pack includes custom artwork and interface elements, alongside dedicated resource packs and datapacks such as Ascendency Resources, Moonlight Acacia, Crafting Requirements, and Terratonic. Optional client-side additions, including Distant Horizons, Custom Player Models, and a reworked third-person camera, can be enabled individually without making the pack incompatible with friends.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge, 17 Jan 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 15 Jan 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 213 of its 214 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of 201 of its 202 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 17 of the 165 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
37 mods are not checked yet.
1 mod can use AI in the game.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
