The Decursio Project: Expert is a quest-guided tech-and-magic modpack built around a challenging, expert-style journey through four Ages, drawing inspiration from SevTech: Ages while centering its broader progression on an Enigmatica 2: Expert feel. A T.H.I.S.-based stage system gates items and other features as players advance, and the quest book organizes each Age into Gear, Arcane, Storage, Protection, Tools, and Useful Items paths. Modified recipes encourage players to engage with the pack’s many mods, while its opening stage takes inspiration from SevTech: Ages and TerraFirmaCraft. The starting experience includes hands-on early survival and resource processing, with guides covering the first day, charcoal making, pit kilns, ore kilns, leatherworking, and making iron. Progression spans technology and magic, with a space-exploration quest tree required to advance through Applied Energistics 2 and Ars Nouveau. Dimensional progression is staged through Atum 2 and The Twilight Forest, and optional challenges offer additional goals for players seeking a tougher run. Exploration is rewarded with relics, artifacts, and dungeons from mods including When Dungeons Arise, Dungeon Crawl, Brass Amber Battle Towers, YUNG’s Better Dungeons, and Dungeons Enhanced. The pack also revamps world generation with Oh The Biomes You'll Go and other biome mods, and its configured food-diversity system rewards varied eating without punishing a simpler diet. Mobs become tougher as the Ages progress, gaining greater strength, speed, health, armor, and abilities.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.16.5 · Forge, 15 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 10 Aug 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 282 of its 286 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of 278 of its 284 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 12 of the 204 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
1 other mod shows AI use only from after this release (15 Oct 2026), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
80 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
