A survival modpack mixing GregTech, magic, and demanding challenges.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 291 graded mods, 207 are graded A or B, 60 C and 24 D to F. Its last update came out 3 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Greg Quest is a GregTech-centered modpack that turns its mix of technology, magic, and survival mods into a unified progression, with a quest book guiding players through the experience. Most crafting, cooking, farming, jewelry, and equipment progression is routed through GregTech recipes and machines; tools and armor above vanilla wood and stone tiers instead draw on GregTech equipment, Tinkers’ Construct, and custom materials made from pack-exclusive resources. Food production becomes a GregTech manufacturing chain using Pam’s HarvestCraft 2 and GTMFO content, with bakeries, cuisine assemblers, multicookers, and nearly 200 custom fluids. Survival also requires adapting to hot and cold climates with heating or cooling equipment and climate-appropriate armor, while environmental hazards add further pressure. Portals to the Nether, End, Twilight Forest, and Aether must be built from GregTech portal frames and controllers, with increasingly advanced components marking a sequential path through the dimensions. Beyond Earth, Gregicality Rocketry adds two solar systems: Oblitus, a custom 15-planet system with distinct terrain, biomes, ore veins, and sky colors, and Vicinia, which connects other mod dimensions as rocket destinations, including tropical islands, floating realms, and deep oceans. Cross-mod progression reaches into Ice and Fire dragon eggs, Aquamirae boss equipment, Create cardboard armor, Applied Energistics 2, gadget mods, and jewelry and Curios content, with custom GregTech recipes replacing much of their default progression.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 8 Aug 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 5 Aug 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 286 of its 293 mods, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of 286 of its 293 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 14 of the 234 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
59 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
