A pirate adventure pack with ships, ocean exploration, and survival challenges.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 360 graded mods, 265 are graded A or B, 79 C and 16 D to F. Its last update came out 4 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Beyond Tides is a pirate-themed survival and adventure modpack that begins with you shipwrecked on a small island, where you gather resources and fish before setting out to explore. Its worlds emphasize deep oceans, continents, island chains, coastal cliffs and pirate coves, with custom dungeons, illager outposts, raider ports and hidden treasure locations to discover. You can travel by water in craftable boats and ships or build customizable vessels block by block, then assemble a fleet for exploration and combat. Exploration brings hundreds of aquatic, terrestrial and dimensional mobs and bosses, along with upgraded illagers, raider ports and challenging raids that threaten ships and villages. Fishing has new mechanics and hundreds of fish, while expanded crops, farming machines and tools support food production for long voyages. The pack supports large-scale building with additional blocks and decorations, as well as tools for faster construction. Combat offers weapons such as spears, kunai, shields, muskets and cannons, and overhauled enchanting adds new tables, mechanics and hundreds of enchantments. Hardcore-inspired survival rules let you revive a downed teammate if you reach them in time or bring them back later with a powered respawn ritual; deaths in core survival also cost a heart, recoverable with an enchanted golden apple. Villagers can take on jobs, offer expanded trades through more than 50 professions, and receive protection from guards, while companions can help in battles. Valarian Conquest adds a focus on conquering, creating and battling kingdoms alongside the pack’s pirate adventures.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 2 Jul 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 1 Jul 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 355 of its 362 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of 347 of its 354 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 24 of the 298 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
56 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
