A cozy modpack for exploring beautiful lands and building tiny cottages.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 289 graded mods, 227 are graded A or B, 44 C and 18 D to F. Its last update came out 7 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Cottage World is a cozy modpack for relaxed building, farming, and exploration, with a countryside atmosphere and over 240 mods to explore. Its landscapes include beautiful biomes and lush scenery, with examples such as cherry-blossom forests, lush caves, calming rivers, and golden-hour vistas. For homesteading, the pack adds crops, cooking mechanics, and rustic building options alongside decorative elements for creating a warm cottage home. Players can also automate parts of their world with Create’s mechanical systems while keeping a homestead-focused style of play. Exploration offers vibrant villages, custom structures, and hidden secrets to discover. A custom menu and music, including Sunlit Meadows, set a calm tone when starting the pack, and the modpack also supports VR play.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Fabric, 4 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
5 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 2 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 303 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
15 mods send something about you
We read the code of 300 of its 301 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 14 of the 301 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
