Zombie apocalypse with guns in loot tables, so go explore not grind on resources.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 170 graded mods, 131 are graded A or B, 30 C and 9 D to F. Its last update came out 18 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Day of the Dead turns Minecraft into a zombie-apocalypse survival experience focused on exploring and looting for supplies and weapons rather than grinding for resources. Players can search abandoned buildings, hidden bunkers, underground tunnels, and ruins for equipment, then build and fortify bases with defenses and traps against the undead. The pack includes TaCZ firearms and additional gun packs, Survivor's Arsenal, Fracture Point's tactical military armory, and Immersive Vehicles. Zombies become more numerous as time passes, while longer days and nights, seasons, and random mob sizes shape the changing survival conditions. Other included systems and content include Immersive Engineering, Immersive Geology, Create, Dynamic Trees, a weight system, and Simple Voice Chat and Simple Voice Radio.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 2 May 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 17 Apr 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 169 of its 171 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of 163 of its 165 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 11 of the 147 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
18 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
