FTB Inferno is an expert-style questing, exploration, and survival modpack set in a realm of fire and torment, where players follow a lore-driven struggle to escape and save their home and the world. Hundreds of quests lead through deeply connected magic and technology progression, emphasizing mastery of game mechanics and creative problem-solving over repetitive grinding. Players explore deadly biomes, lost ruins, demon-infested Hidden Realms, and custom dungeons themed around the seven deadly sins, gathering curated loot while facing hundreds of custom enemies, invasion events, and five major boss battles. Progression also involves researching and training minions through a customized MineColonies system, finding allies, collecting ancient artifacts, and using worker bees to generate resources. Its magic ranges from Occultism bindings with foliots and djinn to Blood Magic, EvilCraft, Nature’s Aura, and Ars Nouveau; technical and building options include Applied Energistics, Create, Immersive Engineering, FTB Industrial Contraptions, Capsule, and Building Gadgets. Summoning Rituals and Gateways to Eternity bring in distinctive enemies and useful fauna, while Avaritia Reforged offers powerful creative items needed to face the final boss. The pack also includes a descent into the Wither Storm to confront an eldritch threat, and supports included or player-selected shaders for a changed visual experience.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.18.2 · Forge, 13 May 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 8 Apr 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 266 of its 267 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of 265 of its 266 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 18 of the 201 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
65 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
