Survive on a floating island with magic, technology, and quests.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 325 graded mods, 236 are graded A or B, 67 C and 22 D to F. Its last update came out 4 months ago, for Minecraft 1.19.2. See the mods
FTB Skies is a sky-island survival and progression modpack that begins aboard an airship and sends players through a portal to choose among five floating islands, where they must manage scarce resources and fend off hostile mobs while building upward. Quests guide island challenges and advancement, while custom in-game events introduce surprises as players explore custom sky villages and use an Eye of Legend to find floating villages with loot. The pack combines magic and technology: players can create spells and use elemental power alongside machinery, resource processing, storage, and crafting systems from mods including Create, Create Sifting, Refined Storage, Mekanism, Elemental Craft, Botania, and RFTools. A custom trade system adds trading and bartering to the island economy, and Create Sifting provides another way to gather and process resources for building and crafting.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.19.2 · Forge, 11 Jun 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 3 Mar 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 324 of its 325 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of 324 of its 325 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 24 of the 263 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
62 mods are not checked yet.
1 mod can use AI in the game.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
