Prison Escape Beginnings is a story-driven, skyblock-style tech modpack about escaping a high-security facility after a mysterious explosion and uncovering why you are more than an ordinary prisoner. Quests guide players through survival, sabotage, and discovery as they solve environmental puzzles, progress through chambers, and encounter scripted events, quest barriers, and interactive hubs. Special keys open locked vaults, while rare technology and quest items unlock paths and upgrades through the facility’s unstable systems. Custom recipes, scripted drops, and story-linked loot boxes make rewards part of progression, with quest currency adding another way to earn useful loot. Scaling bosses and lore-driven challenges round out the escape adventure, which can be played solo or cooperatively.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge, 11 Jul 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 341 of its 343 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of 339 of its 341 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 24 of the 274 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
67 mods are not checked yet.
2 mods can use AI in the game.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
