A bigger tech and magic adventure with plenty of new mods.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 272 graded mods, 221 are graded A or B, 48 C and 3 D to F. Its last update came out 5 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Tekkit The Resurrection 2 is a large tech-and-magic modpack that expands on the Tekkit style with more than 200 mods and modern quality-of-life additions. Its industrial and automation side includes Ender IO, Thermal Expansion, Forestry, Industrial Foregoing, and Immersive Industry, while Project E and Project Expansion bring in a magical, resource-focused element. Exploration is supported by structures and loot integrations, with examples including Dungeons Enhanced, Towns and Towers, Structory, and Dungeons and Taverns, alongside tools such as Explorer’s Compass and Nature’s Compass. The pack also includes practical additions such as Waystones for travel, Sophisticated Backpacks and Storage for carrying and storing items, Farmer’s Delight for cooking, and Corail Tombstone to help recover lost gear. For combat and world encounters, it includes Guard Villagers, Nyf’s Spiders, Balkon's WeaponMod, and Timeless and Classics Zero.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 22 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 8 Aug 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked all 273 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 270 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI named in 4 of the 227 mods we checked
We found an AI tool named in them, or their authors declare AI content.
8 other mods show AI use only from after this release (22 Sep 2026), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
43 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
