Survive a zombie apocalypse by scavenging ruined cities and building a shelter.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 372 graded mods, 253 are graded A or B, 94 C and 25 D to F. Its last update came out 3 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Z Apocalypse turns Minecraft into a post-apocalyptic zombie survival experience focused on exploration, preparation, and progression. Players scavenge through ruined cities, underground bunkers, military locations, and other abandoned sites for equipment and supplies, with dangerous expeditions making survival a constant concern. More aggressive zombies raise the stakes, while players can build defenses, manage supplies, improve their gear, and secure a base among the ruins. The pack also features modern firearms, tactical equipment, vehicles for long-distance travel, and progression through technology and automation. Its atmosphere is shaped by enhanced sounds and environments, and city generation can be enabled and customized when creating a world.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 8 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 26 Aug 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 372 of its 378 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of 366 of its 372 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI named in 5 of the 289 mods we checked
We found an AI tool named in them, or their authors declare AI content.
7 other mods show AI use only from after this release (8 Oct 2026), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
83 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
