Aino’s Underwater Adventures is a modpack centered on playing as a mermaid or siren while exploring the ocean and underwater world. Choose the Merling or Siren origin: both breathe, see clearly, and swim faster underwater, while Merlings suffocate if they stay on land too long and Sirens regenerate quickly underwater but cannot regenerate on land and die instantly near fire. Sirens can use Siren’s Song to briefly turn nearby hostile mobs friendly and Captivating to gain better or cheaper villager trades. Tail customization uses a dyeable Sea Necklace, with Tail Gradient items for color mixes, a recolorable Mermaid Bra, Tail Moisturizers for time out of water, and a Glowing Pearl for a luminous effect; the pack also includes its own mermaid-tail retexture. The pack supports ocean exploration, underwater homes and beach houses, treasure hunting, collecting seashells and pearl oysters, cooking guardian soup, taming animals, keeping pets, and practicing magic or witchcraft. Its aquatic encounters include creatures such as bettas, pink dolphins, lobsters, and other sea life, alongside dangerous deep-ocean areas, abandoned ocean structures, ships, and pirates. The wider world adds land and underwater structures, varied biomes, animals, foods including seafood, and decorative options such as furniture and fairy lights, with shaders and resource packs available to enable.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 25 Mar 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 17 Oct 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 125 of its 133 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
4 mods send something about you
We read the code of 119 of its 122 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 6 of the 101 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
21 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
