Defend your home from zombie hordes and survive the night.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 158 graded mods, 122 are graded A or B, 25 C and 11 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Doomsday Catastrophe is a survival modpack built around a zombie crisis and defending against night-time hordes. The zombies coordinate their attacks, charge in groups, carry weapons, and can damage defenses, turning the night into a siege. Players can fight back with expanded melee weapons and simple firearms, while building fortifications and combining traps to hold off the swarms. Scarce medical and lighting supplies make resource management important as survivors establish defenses for the day-and-night cycle.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 30 Sep 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 23 Sep 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 159 of its 160 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of 150 of its 151 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (30 Sep 2025) in the 150 mods we checked.
11 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
1 mod is not checked yet.
AI was used to make the pack itself
The author writes that AI was used.
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
