A magic-focused pack for exploring, adventuring, and following optional quests.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 284 graded mods, 165 are graded A or B, 54 C and 65 D to F. Its last update came out 3.6 years ago, for Minecraft 1.16.5. See the mods
Magica Infinitum III is a large, magic-focused exploration and adventure RPG modpack built around progressing through magical means rather than technology, with RF-related mods and machines excluded or disabled. Its magical systems span well-known and less familiar mods, including Ars Nouveau, Botania, Blood Magic, Astral Sorcery, Eidolon, Hexerei, Occultism, Mana and Artifice, Psi, and Witchery: Rewitched. Exploration adds places and realms to discover through content such as Atum 2, Dungeon Crawl, Dungeons Plus, The Abyss II, The Twilight Forest, The Undergarden, and Valhelsia Structures, alongside creatures and encounters from Ice and Fire: Dragons, Mowzie’s Mobs, Rats, Vampirism, and Werewolves. Recipes and interactions are customized, with harder recipes and balancing changes intended to keep magical progression central; magical-themed resource packs also give selected content a matching visual style. Optional quests offer a suggested route without being required to progress or unlock other mods, with questlines covering systems such as Ars Nouveau, Botania, Blood Magic, Astral Sorcery, Biomancy, Eidolon and Hexblades, Hexerei, and Witchery: Rewitched.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.16.5 · Forge, 29 Mar 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 14 Oct 2022 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 286 of its 287 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
9 mods send something about you
We read the code of 284 of its 285 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 20 of the 193 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
92 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
