Plants VS Zombies World is a survival modpack that brings Plants vs. Zombies-style lane defense and campaign battles into Minecraft, alongside exploration and crafting progression. Build a lawn using plant cards with individual sun costs, cooldowns, placement rules, and abilities; the 49-card roster includes Peashooter, Sunflower, Cherry Bomb, Wall-nut, Snow Pea, and imitators, with support for layered planting such as plants in Flower Pots or Lilypads and plants protected by Pumpkins. Battle waves of familiar zombies, including conehead, pole-vaulting, buckethead, miner, dolphin-rider, and gargantuar types, as well as expanded enemies and bosses such as the Red Sand Sniper, Ice Slime, and Ominous Wither. The campaign currently includes Plains stages 1-1 through 1-10 and Dark Forest stages 2-1 through 2-3, fought in dedicated arenas with wave and stage-progress HUDs, rewards, multiplayer invitations, and enemy strength that scales with participating players. Some stages use a conveyor-belt hotbar that supplies timed, one-use plant cards instead of letting players bring their own deck; stage 1-10 uses this format. An in-game Almanac lets players search and browse plants, monsters, attributes, status effects, and collections, while FTB Quests guides progression in Chinese and English. Beyond raids, survival progression includes crops and foods such as peas, cabbage, garlic, Cherry, and Squash, biome-themed ingots spanning the Overworld, Nether, End, and void themes, and plant-card recipes sourced through crafting, trades, loot, and world generation. The Plant Card Packaging Machine supports automated input and output and has recipes viewable in JEI. Raids use PVZ sound effects, wave warnings, custom HUD elements, and layered battle music that adds percussion as the battlefield fills with zombies.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 23 Aug 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 5 Sep 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked all 103 mods, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 103 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 4 of the 91 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
5 other mods show AI use only from after this release (23 Aug 2026), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
12 mods are not checked yet.
1 mod can use AI in the game.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
