A new land modpack based on exploration.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 181 graded mods, 73 are graded A or B, 35 C and 73 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Terra Nova: The New World is an exploration-focused modpack that combines questing with technology, magic, building, resource gathering, and combat. Players can tame dragons, take on bosses, grow resources with Mystical Agriculture, build machinery for ore processing, and use Wizardry to cast and create spells. Exploration includes procedurally generated, multi-level dungeons and the dangerous, decayed realm of the Betweenlands, where strange creatures inhabit the remains of lost civilizations. The pack’s tech side includes XNet, whose cables transport items, fluids, energy, and information, as well as Integrated Dynamics for network-based automation and system integration. Quests include dedicated Exploration and XNet tabs, generic rewards, and a collectible system in which completing the penguin collection earns a special penguin. Other additions include architectural blocks for sloped roofs, pillars, rounded corners, and framed windows, plus Adélie penguins that bring sound and activity to icy biomes.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 23 Jul 2020). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 12 Jun 2020 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 188 of its 189 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of 186 of its 189 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (23 Jul 2020) in the 107 mods we checked.
9 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
82 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
