A hardcore mod pack for people who like challenges.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 175 graded mods, 63 are graded A or B, 32 C and 80 D to F. Its last update came out 4.4 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Too Many Mobs is a hardcore modpack built around challenging survival, with dangerous creatures from Lycanites Mobs, Ice and Fire, Scaling Health, and other combat-focused mods. Progression changes the usual route to diamond armor: players must work through the lower armor tiers first, while Upgraded Pickaxes can be improved to high levels and become powerful weapons in their own right. Exploration can lead to ruins, dungeons, battle towers, and other generated locations, with places to discover in the Nether, the End, underground, and underwater. The pack also adds magic through Electroblob’s Wizardry, alongside powerful gear and loot such as MegaLoot, Spectrite, and Chance Cubes. For players who want to ease the grind, ProjectE, fluid cows, and material-producing chickens offer alternative ways to obtain resources. Optional goals include collecting hats, completing quests from the king, and finding, taming, or defeating the pack’s different animals and monsters.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 18 Jun 2022). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
5 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 26 Nov 2021 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 179 of its 182 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of 179 of its 182 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 5 of the 80 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
102 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
