Tinkers' Survival reshapes Minecraft’s opening days into a tougher early-game progression that leads players toward making tools with Tinkers' Construct. Vanilla and vanilla-like tools and weapons are ineffective for players, and tools from other mods work only when whitelisted; harvesting also slows sharply when the tool does not match the block. Players begin with crude tools: a crude knife helps gather plant fiber and improve stick drops from leaves, while a crude hatchet gathers logs and a crude saw turns logs into planks and planks into sticks. Rock piles generate across the world and provide rocks for flint-knapping; striking rocks against stone can yield flint shards, which, along with plant fiber and plant string, support early crafting. A saw is required to make planks, and crude tools supply materials for crafting the more capable Tinkers' tools that carry the progression forward. The mod also adds crude bandages for early healing and stronger bandages for later use. Tool whitelists and rock-pile generation are configurable, and armor enforcement can be enabled to restrict wearable armor to selected mods or individual items. With Constructs' Armory, armor can follow a Tinkers' progression; Tough As Nails integration adds wool and jelled-slime armor parts with heating or cooling effects.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 7 items: Knife, Tinkers' Survival, Saw, Saw Blade, Saw Blade Cast, Saw Blade Red Sand Cast and Saw Blade Sand Cast; 13 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
