A pack full of different mods to play with.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 138 graded mods, 99 are graded A or B, 22 C and 17 D to F. Its last update came out 4.6 years ago, for Minecraft 1.17.1. See the mods
BigBangMods is a large kitchen-sink modpack that brings together a broad collection of Minecraft mods while generally keeping their authors’ original configurations and features intact. The main pack includes more than 200 mods in its stable release branch, with development branches for players who want to try less-tested changes. Its modded gameplay spans resource gathering and technology such as Mekanism, alongside Mystical Agriculture, ProjectE, and systems for raising specialized chickens and other animals. Exploration adds world-generation features including marble caves, volcanoes, and copper, electrotine, peridot, ruby, sapphire, silver, and tin ores, as well as Battle Towers that can be used for combat, shelter, or resources. The wider BBM series also offers Compact, a reduced pack of about 170 mods, and Essential, described as a near-vanilla option, for players seeking lighter alternatives.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.16.5 · Forge, 10 Mar 2022). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 27 Feb 2022 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked all 139 mods, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 139 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 4 of the 111 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
28 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
