Ocean Depths is an exploration-focused modpack built around surviving and exploring a world where roughly 70% is water and 30% is land. Its ocean-focused content includes deep-sea locations, aquatic structures and marine animals, alongside ocean dimensions and new challenges. The world generation creates an Ocean World, while Regions Unexplored adds new terrestrial biomes and the Atlantis dimension offers another place to explore and survive. Deep-sea threats include content from Myths of The Sea, Dark Waters, Aquamirae and Aquatic Creepers, with further ocean additions such as Aquaculture 2, Illager Warship and Upgrade Aquatic. The pack also expands land-based exploration with Underwater Village, YUNG’s structures, Macaw’s content and Alex’s Mobs, and includes Corail Tombstone. Quests are available to guide players through the pack’s challenges and exploration.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 22 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 6 Oct 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 334 of its 336 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
9 mods send something about you
We read the code of 326 of its 327 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 30 of the 294 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
33 mods are not checked yet.
1 mod can use AI in the game.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
