About
Aura is an open, client-style Fabric modpack that combines performance optimizations with a ready-to-use set of visual, interface, multiplayer, and creator tools, while letting players add or remove mods rather than locking them into a managed client. Its performance foundation improves rendering, memory use, loading, lighting, and world generation through mods such as Sodium, Lithium, FerriteCore, ModernFix, Iris, and ScalableLux; shaders are optional, and Complementary Shaders Unbound is included. Visual and resource-pack support includes connected textures, improved grass, animated and custom entity models, emissive textures, custom sounds and skyboxes, plus dynamic lights that illuminate the area around a held torch. Everyday interface and gameplay conveniences include smooth zoom, a searchable keybind manager, hunger and saturation information, item durability details, ping displays, shulker-box previews, searchable inventories, stack-moving tools, cleaner chat, and more informative menus and tooltips. Players choose between two configurations before launching: Creator Mode keeps Flashback for replay recording and adds Freecam, high-resolution screenshots, proximity voice chat, and the Axiom world-editing toolkit; Server Mode keeps ViaFabricPlus for joining servers across versions from 1.8 through current. Server Mode also includes privacy and network conveniences such as NoChatReports, faster server pings, packet fixes, and e4mc world sharing without port forwarding; Aura is client-side and requires no server installation.
