Origination is a fantasy-focused RPG modpack that builds on vanilla Minecraft around choosing an Origin with distinctive advantages and drawbacks, then pairing it with a Class to shape your playstyle. It offers more than 40 Origins and more than 30 Classes, alongside a survival-friendly way to change your selections and RPG-style levelling and gear rarities for developing your character and equipment. Combat is reworked around weapon categories, with each Origin limited in effectiveness to compatible types; the pack includes options such as swords, spears, bows, greathammers, chakrams, staves and scythes. Magic and spellcasting feature alongside fantasy mods such as Botania and Spirit, while new dimensions include the Twilight Forest, the Bumblezone and The Otherside. Overhauled world generation adds content across the Overworld, End and Nether, with dungeons and structures to explore, new mobs and bosses to fight, and building and decoration blocks to use. The pack also includes interactive features such as Waystones, Trading Posts, Bartering Posts, player shops and bounty boards, plus wearable accessories, storage bags and vanity armour with cosmetic profiles. Seasons and weathering dynamically alter the world, and Xaero's minimap and world map are paired with land claiming for exploration and multiplayer play. With more than 300 mods and support for both singleplayer and multiplayer, Origination keeps its scope grounded in fantasy rather than significantly advanced technology.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.19.2 · Fabric, 28 Nov 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
3 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 23 Jun 2023 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 310 of its 311 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
13 mods send something about you
We read the code of 310 of its 311 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 23 of the 245 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
66 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
