A medieval adventure pack with quests, dungeons, dragons, and loot.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 302 graded mods, 183 are graded A or B, 73 C and 46 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.18.2. See the mods
Strictly Medieval is a medieval-themed RPG modpack built around a large quest book, extensive progression, and a more demanding adventure experience. Project MMO adds skills and leveling for players and for items such as weapons, tools, building blocks, and armor, with more than 20 stats tied to progression and abilities. Quests guide players through activities including boss fights, dungeon exploration, magic, blood magic, farming, cooking, and crafting. Exploration includes the Twilight Forest and Blue Skies dimensions, the UnderGarden, and places such as Castle in the Sky, alongside villages, dungeons, and other structures to explore and loot. The pack adds themed encounters through Graveyard creatures, structures, and bosses, Aquamirae ocean mobs and bosses, dragons, and other hostile creatures. Players can use magic systems such as Ars Nouveau and Blood Magic, take on Origins and Origin Classes, and pray to Greek Fantasy gods for rewards. Its broader activities include growing and cooking more than 100 new food-related items, while Lootr gives players in a group separate access to loot. The pack also includes hundreds of mods, with examples such as Create, Better Villages, Dungeons Gear, Farmers Delight, and Minecolonies.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.18.2 · Forge, 20 Nov 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 11 Aug 2023 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 301 of its 307 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of 290 of its 298 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (20 Nov 2023) in the 229 mods we checked.
17 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
69 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
