A hardcore horror modpack filled with monsters and survival challenges.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 419 graded mods, 312 are graded A or B, 66 C and 41 D to F. Its last update came out 2.7 years ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
HorrorScape is a hardcore adventure and horror modpack built around surviving dangerous creatures and progressing through a challenging world. It combines RPG-style skills and leveling for players with a separate mob progression system that makes enemies more difficult farther from spawn, while exploration offers greater risks and rewards at greater distances. Its horror roster includes Nyctophobia Dread, Cave Dweller, Gigeresque, From The Fog, and Weeping Angels, alongside threats such as stalking creepers and creatures lurking in the dark. Undead creatures resist ordinary weapons and must be burned or fought with holy materials, weapons, or enchantments. Players can take on multiple bosses, including a stronger and more challenging Ender Dragon, and can face the dangers alongside friends.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Fabric, 25 Jan 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
4 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 7 Dec 2023 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 437 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
15 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 417 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 36 of the 417 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
1 mod can use AI in the game.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
