Cobblemon Essentials is a Cobblemon modpack built around a Pokémon adventure on its server, where you start with a shiny Pokémon, a backpack, and a Pokédex and explore Pokémon towns. You can ride Pokémon, challenge Gym Leaders, earn medals, and work toward becoming Pokémon Champion; the server also offers Pokémon GO-style raids against bosses for rewards. Legendary and Mythical Pokémon can appear through new key items and spawning conditions, while the Fight or Flight addon makes Pokémon flee or fight back when provoked. The included side mods add features such as Mega Evolution with stones, TMs and TRs for teaching moves, breeding, and experience for your team when you capture wild Pokémon. Spawn notifications help you notice Legendary and Shiny appearances, while Cobblemon Counter tracks encounters and achievements and Cobblepedia provides an in-game Pokémon encyclopedia. The world also includes custom-built Pokécenters in vanilla villages, and the pack’s visual additions include Pokémon-inspired grass, a Cobblemon-themed interface, 3D crops, and shader options.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · Fabric, 26 Jul 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 2 Feb 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 175 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
10 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 168 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 13 of the 168 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
