A modpack for exploring dangerous worlds and automating your base.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 375 graded mods, 255 are graded A or B, 87 C and 33 D to F. Its last update came out 2.3 years ago, for Minecraft 1.18.2. See the mods
Odyssey 3 is a kitchen-sink modpack built around balancing exploration and automation, with quests guiding a broad mix of activities. Its adventure content makes the world more dangerous through dungeons, structures, and bosses, with loot encouraging players to take on challenging encounters; examples include YUNG’s dungeon and structure additions, When Dungeons Arise, The Graveyard, and Aquamirae. Beyond the Overworld, players can explore The Twilight Forest, The Undergarden, and Blue Skies, as well as revamped dimensions, for further challenges and rewards. Automation ranges from storage and processing with Refined Storage, Applied Energistics, Mekanism, and Thermal to resource gathering with QuarryPlus, Quantum Quarry, and Ex Nihilo: Sequentia; Create and Immersive Engineering also offer multiblock building and automation. Extended Crafting and Create support crafting the pack’s Ancient Ingot, which can be used to make nearly every creative block or item available in the pack. Magic options include Ars Nouveau, Blood Magic, Mahou Tsukai, Forbidden and Arcanus, and Elemental Craft, while furniture and building-focused mods such as Supplementaries, MrCrayfish’s Furniture Mod, Chipped, and Macaw’s additions support decorating a home. On servers, Lightman’s Currency enables players to set up stores, shops, and an online market.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.18.2 · Forge, 1 Jul 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 19 Sep 2023 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 380 of its 382 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
11 mods send something about you
We read the code of 378 of its 380 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 24 of the 305 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
75 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
