About
OxMODPACK 8 is a high-difficulty modpack that combines technology and magic with survival-focused mechanics, expanded world generation, and a quest-guided progression intended to introduce its many mod systems. Players begin with basic flint tools and advance through quests arranged into chapters and eras, exploring new terrain, dungeons, and bosses while developing crafting, combat, breeding, flight, taming, and spellcasting. Its technology includes Create, Immersive Engineering, and Mekanism, while Ars Nouveau, Botania, and Malum add distinct magical paths. Survival is made more demanding through dynamic difficulty and mechanics such as hardcore torches, tougher weather and seasonal conditions, and food nutrients that affect character attributes. The world-generation and exploration mods include Terralith, Amplified Nether, The Twilight Forest, and structure additions such as When Dungeons Arise and YUNG’s Better Dungeons, Mineshafts, Strongholds, and Desert Temples. The pack also supports settlement building through MineColonies-related components such as Domum Ornamentum, and offers substantial customization and construction options through Macaw’s bridges, doors, roofs, furniture, windows, and other building sets. Custom configurations are included, and the pack is designed for solo or online play with an available server option.
